created night on the common (NOTC)
Night On The Common is an event that brings the volunteer groups and community organizations serving Northfielders together for an evening of community engagement and celebration. Groups are encouraged to recruit new members, network, and share their goals and achievements. In partnership with the Northfield Farmer’s Market, NCDN launched the event in 2016 and the event continues to grow every year.
created the northfield business/Human Resources directory
The directory is an extensive list of every volunteer organization in town. NCDN created the directory and continues to help maintain it.
created the northfield business guide
The Northfield Business Guide is a physical handout and website that explains in full detail how to do business in Northfield. NCDN wrote, designed, and developed the guide as a tool for current or prospective business owners to achieve success. It answers many question ranging from how to set up utilities, open a new location, learn about taxes, find funding opportunities, and much more.
created visitor’s guide and map for visiting Norwich families
Norwich University has a huge presence in our town. The visitor’s guide helps to better connect the Northfield community and the Norwich community for a more integrated relationship.
created the northfield logo and brand
A new, modern brand identiy was designed for the town that celebrates its history, unique landscape, community focus, and upward momentum- representing growth and hope. A town in renewal.
created the economic development director position
NCDN campaigned for, and helped guide the hiring process for a permanent Economic Development Director position in the town of Northfield. Since hiring an EDD, Northfield’s economic and social activity has been on the rise- with many new initiatives and community connections being made.
Received 501c3 nonprofit status
Gaining a 501c3 nonprofit status allows us to serve other organizations in town as a fiscal agent. There are many great volunteer groups in Northfield, and through our 501c3 status we are able to help them pursue a wider range of grant and funding opportunities.
